About Us

Who We Are

Tweed Valley Basketball Association (TVBA) is a community-based organisation run almost entirely by volunteers — coaches, team managers, referees and committee members who share their love for all things basketball.

Just like the sport, TVBA itself is rapidly growing as we see more and more kids and adults across the Tweed Valley region get involved and put on the ‘Volcanoes’ jersey.

TVBA runs junior and senior domestic competitions that provide players of every age and skill a place to play, improve and belong.

We also offer junior and senior representative pathways through our Volcanoes program. Junior teams compete in the North Coast Shield (NCS), Northern Junior League (NJL) and North Eastern Junior League (NEJL), while senior teams compete in the Sunshine Conference in Men’s Division 1, Men’s Division 2 and Women’s Division.

We are proudly a Basketball NSW affiliated association.

What We Stand For

Four things guide our players from their first Aussie Hoops session through to representative level:
